Do you require a prepayment/retainer fee to accept a referral?

In matters involving marital dissolution a refundable retainer of $1,000 is required prior to beginning any work. Should the entire amount not be used, it will be refunded to the issuing party. Time spent exceeding the initial retainer will be billed on a monthly basis.

What information do you require at the time of referral?

Upon referral, information requested will include the full case caption and/or the names of all parties for purposes of a conflict check. Other information requested will also include any available timeframes (mediation, discovery cut off, trial, etc.) known at the time of referral.

What materials do you require for an assessment?

The types of information requested for vocational rehabilitation and/or life care planning work includes but is not limited to records relevant to medical treatment, psychological treatment, physical restrictions, psychological restrictions, employment history, educational background, job search activities, vocational rehabilitation counseling activities and earnings history. Depositions and answers to interrogatories are also often useful. In addition to reviewing records, an appointment to complete an in person interview and/or testing will also be requested. All information is requested in electronic form (encrypted email, CD, external record location requiring password access, etc.).

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment is requested by personal or company check. We do not accept payment by credit card or cash at this time.
